on some yummy, chai goodness...

Oregon Chai.

The lovely folks over at Oregon Chai were kind enough to send me a care package a bit ago, and it definitely made me all kinds of giddy. The theme of these care packages is to help people find a little "Me Time", which I think was especially perfect for me - considering my days are incredibly full as of late. I'm always eager to find a new way to clear my head and enjoy the simple things and tiny moments that fill my days.

I've been head-over-heels for Oregon Chai for the past year, since discovering their Chai Tea Latte Concentrate. First of all, can we say delicious? (I love that you can drink it either hot or cold, too!) Second of all, I'm not a coffee drinker unless it's some sugary, fattening white chocolate mocha (which costs entirely too much), so it's been nice to have a substitute to drink on my way to work so I feel like a legitimate adult.

Oregon Chai.

I've never tried their powdered chai tea latte mix, so I was pretty excited to give it a try. It is quickly becoming my new favorite. So, without further ado, here are my tried and true 4 Steps to Yummy, Chai Goodness:

My favorite mug.

Step 1: Find your favorite mug. Obviously, this is my favorite mug because it speaks to my soul. Amen.

Oregon Chai.

Step 2: Take two tablespoons of chai tea latte mix and add it to your mug. (Extra points if you somehow manage to do this while taking a photo at the same time while also not spilling the mix all over your table.)

Oregon Chai.

Step 3: Add 8 oz. of hot water to the chai latte mix.

Oregon Chai.

Step 4: Stir, stir, stir! Then feel free to enjoy the aforementioned yummy, chai goodness.

I am quite giddy to have a chance to give away the following two prizes:
  1. 10 oz. canister of chai latte mix paired with an Oregon Chai hot mug
  2. 10 oz. canister of chai latte mix paired with an Oregon Chai reusable iced tea cup

Are you ready to enter? All you have to do is leave a comment letting me know one way you add a bit of "Me Time" into your days. You will also get one extra entry if you link to this giveaway on Twitter! (Find me on Twitter here. I give you permission to follow my every move. Well, at least the ones I tweet about.)

You have until 5PM (PST) on Wednesday, August 4th to enter! I will choose the two winners on Wednesday evening. Good luck, my friends!

Kerri, I don't know how, but I seemed to have missed the whole ' Kerri has a review blog' thing! It's good! I don't like coffee so I am intrigued by this.

Me time is all about a cup od tea and a book. I spend at least ten minutes on the days I don't have time to get through most of a book sitting on my windowseat with a cup of tea ans a good book. I am kind to me! (I don't expect to be entered, as you'd have to post to the UK, But I thought I'd tell you how I chill anyway!

I looove their chai concentrate! So so tasty.

My me time is probably my early morning catching up on blogs and the news time. While drinking coffee (or something equally caffeinated and delicious), of course. Caffeine makes everything better.

My "me time" is making sure to do yoga every morning (even if it is just a few simple stretches for 10 minutes) & making time to write in my spiral bound notebook "diary" afterwards while enjoying my coffee or tea!

p.s. Nice review blog! I had no idea you had it until today, despite following your other blog : )

P.S. I also retweeted this! My twitter is linked with my name.

Oh my goodness, this looks SO GOOD. I've been obsessed with chai tea lattes lately - but this is way faster than brewing the tea myself! Hehe.

My favorite way to get "me time" is during my drive to work - it's about the only true "me time" I get. :) I listen to good podcasts or a CD that gets be pumped up.

I love chai tea, so duh - I'm going to attempt to win here. Since I'm a teacher, my summers are really my only chances to enjoy "me time" so I make sure to pack these two months with activities, people, and places I really enjoy. If I get a chance during the school year, my "me time" is spent with a good book in one hand and a kitty cuddled in my lap :)

Oh, I LOVE chai!! I spend my 'me time' by either curling up with a book on my 'to read' list, walking my dog, or crafting. <3 just a few of my favorite things! Thanks for this give-a-way!!

My me time is catching up on NPR on my ipod while doing the dishes. I know, it sounds totally weird, but I find dishwashing really soothing. So.

LOVE the Oregon Chai mix! That sounds delicious right now! My me time during the day is when I wake up early to catch up on email and blogs before getting ready for work. It's just me, my cup of coffee, and the internets :)

First off, LOVE your blog! I have a 14-month old boy (a.k.a. my little love) so after I put him to bed each night, I go into my studio and sit at my desk. Some nights I relive the day and think about tomorrow, and other nights I stare at my mosaic supplies, sketch, or dream about what's next. It's my time! Whatever I want to do. It's my treat at the end of the day for being a good Mommy, wife, and person in our little world.

I have been dying to find an easy way to make chai tea lattes at home because I waste far too much money getting them from Starbucks all the time.

My 'me time' is spent doing a little bit of yoga in the morning and settling in to read before going to bed. I also catch some time towards the end of the day playing video games.

ooh! i love chai - but have never tried oregon chai brand. it looks yummy. :)
my favorite ways to spend 'me time' either involves a trip to the gym (sometimes hard to get me there, but love it when i do) or a hot bath, glass of white wine and whatever book/magazine i have at the moment.
thanks for the awesome giveaway. :)

My 'me' time is when I take the pup out for a walk around the neighborhood. I say it's for him to get some exercise, but really it's a chance for me to clear my head and look at all the pretty historic houses down the street!

My me time is after I put the boys to bed at night :) I make myself a black soy tea latte or a cup of chai tea ( i love oregon chai concentrate!!) and sit down to watch my reality tv shows and zone out ;)

Ideally I'd like to have some me time every morning-- get up earlier, make my tea and read my bible but the "get up earlier" part is SO DIFFICULT! I'm really going to work on it this schoolyear tho :)

I think the best time to try something is when it's free! Therefore, I would LOVE to win some Chai tea, so I can see what it's like :-) I've never had it before!

My favorite way to get some "me time" into my days is to grab my guitar and head up to my room....its the perfect way to end a day!

yum!

My me-time is just spending an hour in my room watching an episode of my favorite tv show and reading my favorite blogs!

Finding "me time" is really difficult when you become a Mother. It's so cliche but so true. My "me time" is doing word searches before bed every evening. I can relax, think about life and search for words... Love it!

Lee said...

Every night, just before I climb into bed, I spend a few minutes reading a daily devotional. That little bit of time to reflect and give thanks for the blessings in my life helps me end my day on a positive, peaceful note.

P.S. - Oregon Chai is quite possibly the most delicious drink ever...well, that or my sweet tea. Yum! =)

YOGA. That's how I create me-time.

I have never tried chai tea before. Would love to try it! Anywhooo..."me time"??? I am not quite sure. I guess I would consider my "me time" when I am driving to school. Even though I do not like driving very much! It is still relaxing to just be by myself, and listen to music.

Mmmm, chai.

My "Me Time" is definitely when I am able to wake up at a leisurely pace, taking the time to soak up my cocoon-like bed, make some coffee and breakfast, turn on a Norah Jones Pandora station and journal for hours. Mmmm, sounds delicious right now.
I also love going to Borders and used bookstores by myself, just spending ours looking through books.

:)

I find ME TIME by dancing around to anything with a beat. Naked. (It helps when no one is home...)

I'm obsessed with Oregon Chai. You have no idea. My me time is when I get to watch the shows in my Hulu queue, which, this summer, consists of The Bachelorette, Pretty Little Liars, Huge, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. :) I'm a dilly little girl, by the way.

I NEED this in my life. I'm not a fan of coffee, I don't drink soda, AND I need some caffeine in my life. I wake up at 5:30 a.m. for work, so it's DEFINITELY needed. And I love Oregon chai! :)

My "me time" is when I get home from work and curl up in bed OR read a book on the couch ... which I admit, hasn't happened much recently.

Unknown said...

My "me time" is my internet/watching chick flicks time. it's something that I can do that chills me out and I completely enjoy.

The other "me time" I have is when I'm at the gym working out and I can actually feel like I'm working out while not dying! It helps me to feel better about myself and so accomplished!

Oh I LOVE that Chai tea, I totally went through a time when I was drinking it daily! I get me time by going through my google reader or snuggling up with my man to watch Mad Men.. (its sooo good, have you watched?)

Andrea said...

I really liked reading about everyone's "me time" because I've been having a hard time finding any lately. Usually my "me time" is during Mad Men on Sunday nights. Just me and the ol' brown couch.

Ashley said...

yum! I love chai - I haven't tried that mix before, but it looks tasty =D

My favorite "my time" is in the evenings, catching up on my recorded shows and working on my latest crafty project.

Chai is one of my favorite treats so I would looove to try this!

Looks delicious! My "me time" is 10 minutes of self-guided yoga in the morning. It's rejuvenating and empowering. Going through the motions without thinking too much leaves me in a place of mindfulness, ready to start the day.

Carolina said...

I just bought some of their chai tea concentrate :) I like it iced - especially with this heat! M'mm, iced chai tea.

Anyways, for me, "Me" time is generally spent outside in my garden. Whether I'm just watering my plants, or picking fruits and veggies, or taking care of weeds (curse them!). It's a newer hobby of mine, something I've only really been doing for about a year - there's so much to know! But I love it - it calms me.

All my best,
Carolina

PS - I had no idea you had a "review" site - I like it :)

No matter what, we take a long, hot shower and read at the end of the day. It helps us unwind and relax.

ooh chai is my faaaavorite! my "me" time is before bed when I have some (caffeine free) tea and catch up on whatever book i'm reading. or if i'm taking a break from work during the middle of the day to sit on my porch and read for a little while.

Katie said...

I don't drink coffee so chai is my one great love, stress relief, insta-happiness drink. I haven't tried Oregon chai, so I would love to find out where to get it. I have been making my own chai lattes at home with tea bags and milk. (not quite the same)

I love to just take a couple minutes in the car, turn off my iPod, shut off the radio, and say a quick prayer. Just to let the big man upstairs know how I'm doing, what I'm thankful for, and what I might need help with. Especially when I have somewhere to drive first thing in the morning, it really makes me feel better all day :)

My favorite way to enjoy me time is at night when I am listening to my guilty pleasure country station on Pandora and writing in my journal.

Chai Tea!

I usually fit in "me" time by listening to audiobooks while doing housework, or while doing homework/real work.

Great, now everyone knows I read. Am I going to be branded a geek? :)

(By the way, I love this blog.)

Well, everyday I wake up at 4 or 4:30 am, grab a cup of coffee , and sit in my favorite chair and then I talk to God and meditate while the world is still sleeping..is the best ME time ever!!!

Angie said...

It's weird but my "me" time is in my car. I get to control the temperature, the radio, and aside from driving all my thoughts are to myself. That or in the shower. I know it's not necessarily "making" me time, but I enjoy my alone moments.

Unknown said...

I adore chai!

Sometimes I hide in the bathroom to get a little me time away from my husband and son. Even just a fresh coat of nail polish on my toes can do a lot to improve my mood for the rest of the day.

That chai tea looks absolutely delicious! My "me time" consists of sitting down with whatever book I'm currently reading and a seasonal beverage - ie. hot apple cider in the fall, iced chai in the summer. I love it!

Mandy said...

Chai is one of my favorite things! I love chocolate raspberry, its my go to at the coffee shop.

I usually take a bit of time at the end of the day, right before going to sleep for some me time. I relax and unwind, read for little while or journal. Its a nice way to end the day with some reflection.

Yum!

My me time each day is usually after I walk in the door from work. Instead of starting to pick up the house or cook dinner, I lay down on the couch and play with the puppies or read a book. It's a nice way to unwind before the madness starts back up.

Brittany said...

I find "me time" by setting aside a little time in my mornings before class to be completely alone and journal. I know it is something I will look back and treasure in the future.
