When I was first contacted about reviewing Starbucks' Ice Cream, I was an overly-emotional pregnant lady with cankles and a penchant for devouring a bowl of ice cream at least four times a week. At that point I was all, "Need you even ask? Seriously. Look at this belly." Granted, I didn't get to try it out until after the wee one arrived, but I'd say it was perfect timing. It's summer, it's way too hot, and I get to consume an extra 500 calories every day, thanks to the glory of breastfeeding. Amen.
But I digress.
If you take a gander at the Starbucks Ice Cream website (yes, the ice cream has its own website) you'll see that their flavors range from the sweet (Vanilla Bean Frappuccino) to the classic (good ol' Coffee) to the sweet-mercy-I-must-try-that (Hot Chocolate). I decided that since I hadn't had one in a good, long while, that I wanted to try the Mocha Frappuccino flavor. Let's just say it was a good decision.
(I finished the entire pint in two sittings.)
(No, I did not share.)
(I know; I'm mean. Let's blame it on post-pregnancy hormones and a lack of sleep, mmmkay?)
I am not kidding when I say this ice cream tastes exactly like a Frappuccino. It's insane. I don't know how they managed it, but it's like eating a bowl full of Mocha Frappuccino. Also, the texture of the ice cream is incredibly smooth…almost like eating some fancy shmancy gelato or something. It's truly something I am going to have to sneak into the shopping cart on a regular basis for the rest of the summer (or my life).
Also, for those of you who are over-achievers (or, you know, people I want to be like but haven't the time or motivation at this point), Starbucks also offers free recipes on their website. Ice cream sandwiches, coffee bananas foster, frozen tiramisu…shall I go on? (Fantastic. Now I'm hungry. But, then again, I'm always hungry.)
I have one extra coupon for a free pint of this deliciousness…any takers? Simply leave a comment on this post over the weekend, telling me what flavor you would be most inclined to enjoy and I will choose one winner on Monday the 29th! (Please be sure to leave your email address within the comment if you don't have one attached to your account. I want to be sure I can contact you!)

I want to try the Hot Chocolate!
Mmm, I'd love to try the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino flavor - I'm a vanilla ice cream kinda girl and I love the fraps from Starbucks!
Honestly, who could pick just one flavor? I guess I'd have to go with the Caramel Macchiato or straight up Coffee. I love coffee ice cream!
I think the Java Chip sounds heavenly! (Not sure I would share either.)
:)

I would go with the Mocha Frappuccino because it looks delicious. Because I`m not in the States I would give away the prize to my sister in law who is, and who also is pregnant and need some ice with no coffee in the SD heat!
I love the cappuccino chip or something like that, with coffee ice-cream and chocolate chips! mmm mmmm

This sounds absolutely divine. I think I'd try the Caramel Macchiato because, well, it's my favorite iced coffee and regular coffee flavor at Starbucks - besides pumpkin spice lattes. :)
My email should be attached to my account. :)
That Mocha Frappachino looks amazing! I'd try that first...then go out and buy the rest. :)
Thanks for sharing the ice cream love.
First of all, Seth & I don't have curtains yet. Or living room furniture. Which means if we want to watch a movie, we are both watching it, on a laptop, on the bedroom floor. Which means I cannot go to bed early, which is a shame as those curtains we don't have yet do not block out the sun and do not stop me from waking up at 6:30 every morning.
But you are a new mommy, so I have got it GOOD as far as sleep goes. I would admit it isn't that bad at all and I am almost getting use to it, but that would undermine my attempt to prove I need a caffeine and sugar overload.
My point? I imagine I would enjoy that mocha frap ice cream, as it is my Starbucks purchase of choice. However, each flavor looks that much better than the rest... so receiving said coupon would be leaving me needing a scarf to stand in the frozen food aisle for hours on end deciding between delicious flavors.
Which perhaps merely proves, after all, that I mostly certainly do NOT, under ANY circumstance need that coupon.
But, need is different than want, eh?
(I really hope this made you giggle and that you are not sitting there judging me for an attempt to claim I need caffeine that in no way, shape, or form is (too) serious... and if it was, would in no way, shape or form be shared with you who deserves more than three hours of sleep. Amen.)

p.s. I will write you real snail mail, soon, pretty mama.
I went to the website and it all looks super yummy. But in the end I really want to try the mocha frappuccino. Next time I am at the store I might have to get it!
